Getting started

What is PatientVR?
PatientVR is a clinically-curated library of virtual reality experiences designed to support patient wellbeing, pain management, and rehabilitation. It runs on Meta for Work headsets and can be deployed across a single ward or an entire hospital network.
How do I get started?
Create a free account, browse the library, and pair your first headset. Visit Pricing when you're ready to activate a licence.
Do I need a credit card to try it?
No. Sign-up is free and the public Meta Horizon Store version is available without a card on file.

Headsets & hardware

Which headsets does PatientVR support?
PatientVR is built for Meta for Work headsets (Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro). The PatientVR PRO managed tier provides device fleet controls for these.
Do you ship hardware?
Yes — our PatientVR PRO Kit ships a managed headset with accessories and onboarding, billed annually alongside the software licence.
Can I bring my own headset?
Absolutely. Existing Meta for Work devices can be paired into a PatientVR PRO workspace at any time.

Content library

What kinds of experiences are in the library?
360° relaxation scenes, guided breathing, gentle exercise, immersive travel, and interactive therapeutic experiences — including specialist content for addiction medicine and rehabilitation.
How often is new content added?
We add new experiences every quarter and refresh popular favourites regularly. PatientVR PRO subscribers receive all new content automatically.

Patient safety

Is VR safe for patients?
All content is screened for clinical appropriateness — no jump-scares, no fast motion, no flashing imagery. Sessions are short by default and clinicians can end them at any time.
What about hygiene between patients?
Headsets are designed for shared use with wipeable face interfaces and disposable hygiene covers. Our onboarding guide includes recommended cleaning protocols.
