Nepean Hospital Palliative Care Department on Patient Virtual Reality – PatientVR

Having been personally involved in this new technology at Nepean Hospital’s Palliative Care department, I can attest to the invaluable contributions made by Mike and his team.

They actively engaged with doctors, hospital staff and community volunteers to gather feedback on enhancing the effectiveness of the technology for palliative care patients.

We have been working with Mike Vasavada and his team from Mobiddiction for the last three years on a project developing a novel therapeutic intervention for young persons who are struggling with the addiction of electronic cigarettes. This would be using the technology of virtual reality which is not only an appealing medium for our target population but, first of its kind in Australia, to enhance learning through engagement on the harmful effects of electronic cigarettes. Our strong partnership has propelled this venture very well and we are compelled, we hope, to offer this widely to different services all over Australia.

Easy to set up. No controllers required.
